A change to this document has been announced. According to the Government of Canada, the effect of the changes is notably to (1) "clarify that any laboratory analysis [...] must be performed by a laboratory that meets a set of [accreditation] criteria at the time that the analysis or determination is performed"; and (2) require that "where a standard exists for the parameters that are being analyzed or determined [...] [the] parameters [must] be included in the scope of the laboratory's accreditation".
